Web Address (Domain Name)

Also known as a domain name. An example domain would be "integrisdesign.com." It's just a name. Register your domains with a registrar like https://www.emberhosting.com. It would be best if you always privatized your domain & register it for the maximum time available, which is currently ten years. We also have this article on, "how to choose a domain."

Website Hosting

Think of hosting like an internet-accessible computer that holds the actual files that make up your website. Hosting ranges in quality levels. Most web developers that care about speed, reliability, and organic ranking recommend staying away from EIG Hosting. The best hosting today is typically at Google or AWS; however, it's more expensive. At Integris, we use Google Hosting combined with a lightning-fast infrastructure at WPEngine.com. You should never use cheap hosting, typically known as "shared." If you don't know where your website is hosted, you can check here.

Website

The website is the actual files that make up your website. They are stored with your hosting solution. Websites are constructed using different solutions, such as DIY builders, Content Management Systems - like WordPress, and some websites are coded from the "ground-up." Integris does not recommend using DIY website builders for innumerable reasons, such as a lack of customization, growth issues, and proprietary tools.

Our solution is a turbocharged version of WordPress, and each website is custom.

All websites today should be responsive. Responsive means they "respond" to different devices by resizing and orienting to tablets, desktops, phones, etc.

NOTE: Most website providers use templates when using content management systems. We do not recommend "canned" themes for many reasons, such as security, flexibility, components in the template, and instability.

Accept Payments

Your website requires two components to accept payments: A website feature that allows you to take transactions and a payment processor (see below). Payments are taken in a simple invoice payment form or a complete eCommerce solution (also referred to as a "shopping cart"). We offer a wealth of services included in our website development packages that include one-time and recurring (subscription) payments.

NOTE: Online fraud is a severe problem. That's why we offer Clear.Sale to protect your transactions from fraud. In addition, they only charge .9% per transaction.

Payment Gateway

A payment gateway connects to your website. It processes payments through your website and, in most cases, exchanges transaction updates with your website, when applicable. Think of the gateway as the middleman between your website and your bank. Today, most businesses use Stripe.com because it's a flexible and robust solution for one-time and subscription payments. Integris is compatible with most online payment gateways, such as Paypal, Braintree, and Authorize.net.

Metrics (Website Data Analysis)

Setting goals and tracking your traffic is imperative. Your website should have easy optin offers, proper funneling, and conversion mechanisms. The only way to optimize your marketing effort is to track and review data based on goals regularly. Popular tools include Hotjar & Google Analytics. Integris offers different tracking and review programs based on business needs and their budget.

Marketing

For someone to find your business online, you need to market. On the web, there are a wealth of ways to market. Unfortunately, most companies waste most of their marketing effort by choosing the wrong places to market, not optimizing their marketing effectively, or hiring bad providers. Creating the right marketing plan requires carefully collaborative planning. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for a successful campaign.

Today's marketing now requires foundational (non-negotiable) elements for credibility and minimal visibility. Integris offers this basic package in Sling Local.
